Review on Efficiently Remove Chainring Nuts with Park Tool CNW-2 Chainring Nut Wrench by Brant Skogen

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Bad design, bad execution.

As others have pointed out, this particular tool doesn't feel very good. It's stamped metal, nothing more substantial. Not for at home, let alone for shopping. I cut off one of the teeth trying to loosen the five bolts on my crank. I ended up removing three bolts and drilling through the rest. Do yourself a favor and buy hex or sprocket bolts on the bolt and nut and forget about this tool and the problem it's trying to solve. in general. If you're determined to use slotted nuts, I've seen a T-handle wrench with a hardened tip that strikes a balance between this disposable and the incredibly expensive C-clamp style that some recommend. It looks like you can actually get some leverage with a T-handle and not have to strip the slots on the nuts.
