Review on Coats & Clark Super Saver Ombre Yarn, 10 ounces - Scuba Blue by Kelsey Brown

This strand is huge! Much more than I expected which was nice. The colors are beautiful, although I thought it would be a little bit mid blue, then a little dark, a little bit light and so on and so on. But it was LOTS of medium and then LOTS of dark. I made the hat I drew here and I didn't even get to the light color. The hat turned out nice, but I thought it would be more of a mix. And the star had to be removed because this yarn is not soft at all. It is coarse and actually looks more like thread than yarn. It was easy enough to work with, but literally felt like a piece of rope with dried paint on it. Surprisingly the hat is not stiff and is quite comfortable, but I would never make a blanket out of it. It's very pretty though, and I've got plenty left over, so maybe I'll make a bag or some more hats.
