I really enjoy using Red Heart yarn and have given this purchase 5 stars but from now on I will know better what can go wrong. There is often a factory knot somewhere in the tangle. This project had a knot in a ball and I just crocheted it. I didn't realize that the knot was dirty and was on the light blue part of the yarn. The quilt was almost done when I noticed the messy knot. Haven't tried washing the dirt yet but I'm hoping this isn't spin grease as it's unlikely to spill out. From now on,

This strand is huge! Much more than I expected which was nice. The colors are beautiful, although I thought it would be a little bit mid blue, then a little dark, a little bit light and so on and so on. But it was LOTS of medium and then LOTS of dark. I made the hat I drew here and I didn't even get to the light color. The hat turned out nice, but I thought it would be more of a mix. I love Red Heart Yarn and use it in all my projects. I am a very experienced knitter. I've been doing this for over 50 years and have made dozens of blankets and baby blankets with Red Heart yarn. I bought 6 skeins of this yarn. Since I was trying to make a quilt for a young child, I decided to make two quilts.
