Review on Steel Dragon Tools Woodworking Dovetails by Michael Crossman

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I would only recommend this for beginners.

I liked the body, I liked the look of the set. However, I was very disappointed with the stickers showing where each bit goes - they've already fallen off which means they won't last much longer. Frustrated by the fact that there are a few repetitive bits which means you can expect them to break quickly (guess). Disappointed with the fact that each bit is embedded in foam and doesn't pull out easily; as well as the fact that the black lining is actually a sticker and looks like it was thrown in and doesn't stick well. I would definitely say a universal set for those just starting out. which I am not. I would say 2 stars for the quality, 2 stars for the price, 2 stars for the quality of the beats, 3 stars for the variety of the beats due to the number of repeats and finally 4 stars for the presentation because it even fooled me . it was comparable to some other brands. Let's say right now I'd recommend a price around $59.99 because the case exterior is (only) $17.99 and the small difference. Oh and the speed of delivery, I have to give 5 stars because the holly cow was a quick delivery.

Pros
  • Bits for Metal, Wood, Plastic and Masonry - Controlled depth of cut minimizes kickback
Cons
  • Expensive
