Review on πŸ”§ Efficiently Remove Crank Bolts with Park Tool CCW-5C Crank Bolt Wrench by Kendro Givens

It worked on a stuck pedal, but the grip could have been longer

I was trying to remove a pair of Shimano SPD-SL pedals from my crank using an 8mm hex bolt and ratchet wrench, but this did not budge (impossible). I gave in to buying this parking crank bolt/pedal removal tool. I managed to get rid of her, but it was difficult. It was 20 fights with one pedal. The problem for me was that the handle wasn't long enough and I needed more torque. The common way to remove a stuck pedal is to step on the pedal you want to remove and press down with your foot while pulling on the pedal wrench. I have long legs and arms and it was difficult for me to reach the handle. Looking at other pedal removal tools, I would buy a BBB pedal removal tool, which costs a few dollars more but has a longer handle. Tip: Apply a small amount of lubricant to the pedal shaft threads before installing the pedals. And make sure they don't get stuck from time to time. It happens.
