I had four new boxed solar lights that I bought for my backyard but have never installed in the garage for years. I finally got them and no luck. I opened it and the batteries were gone. So I took a chance and bought them, cleaned the contacts, plugged them in and adjusted the light. I got three out of four to work, so I consider it a success. The last one had corrosion on the switch so probably nothing could save that light. It doesn't matter. There were plenty of them on sale back then and if I replaced them now they would cost me four times as much. Not that I could find anything that good. I'm sure I can use the three remaining batteries for something else. Very satisfied. I have no idea how long they will last, but my flashlights stay on past midnight so their recharge time is okay.
