Review on πŸ“ 120mm Japanese Woodworking Marking Gauge with 100mm Scale - Kebiki Tool by Mike Marks

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Small adjustment needed

I bought two of these marker sensors and they both work very well. The cutting blade is sharp and makes a fine line on the wood. I broke the head of the hardwood wedge on the first one I bought a few months ago, I think it was brittle so I made a new wedge with softer wood and think I've improved it. Then I decided I needed a second one so I didn't have to change the setting every time I needed to mark a different line. You'll need some sort of mallet to hit the wedge to set the marker securely in place, as using just your hand won't work. It took me a few times to use the sensor to learn how to use and adjust the sensor, but now I'm good at it. After removing the sticky label, I used acetone to remove any remaining adhesive from the surface of the wood. This works very well for my needs.
