On Gigabyte motherboards on z370 (possibly also z390) xmp will NOT start, due to a crooked BIOS. At its maximum, I could get - 3300. Everything rests on tRC (aka RC), which in these motherboards is a maximum of 64 (you can check in advance in your BIOS), and for most inexpensive kits, with speeds above 3200, this timing is from 68 to 85. If you are not sure about your skills and/or capabilities of your system - open the list of supported modules on the support page of your motherboard, find modules with the desired frequency and volume, and buy them. And when taking a pig in a poke, do not bring everything down as a keepsake.
