Great design and features, but there are two issues that prevent it from being the perfect docking station.

The overall design of the product is excellent, but there are 2 disadvantages. My idea for this hub was to keep it in my office with all my external devices connected so that when I get to work all I have to do is plug the hub into my laptop and everything is ready to go. For the most part this works as expected, except for 2 issues discussed below. Pros: - great port selection with support for 2 simultaneous external displays, an additional USB-C port (so you don't lose the existing USB-C port for connecting a hub), Ethernet and power delivery up to 100W. Relatively compact and robust construction. Cons: No power button, which might be an issue for some. I mainly use it to connect all my devices including my laptop charger and then just connect 1 cable to my laptop. The problem is that even after you disconnect the hub from the laptop, other devices continue to get power until you disconnect the charger from the hub. While I see legitimate uses for it, it also forces me to unplug my charger from the hub to turn off other devices when I leave the office. This defeats the purpose of simply plugging/unplugging a cable to/from the laptop. A power button would make sense in this case, since it would be easier (and less prone to wear and tear) to toggle the power button on and off instead of fiddling with cords twice a day. At least the ethernet port doesn't seem to work anymore. once a day. At first it works fine, then after a while I lose internet and LAN access. The port LEDs keep blinking, which means the hardware recognizes the connection and the laptop sees the cable is plugged in, but nothing gets through and I get a "No Internet" message in Windows. Disconnecting the LAN cable and reconnecting it does not fix the problem. Restarting the laptop does nothing. The only way to fix this problem is to power cycle the hub by unplugging it from the laptop and unplugging the charger from the hub for a few seconds and then plugging everything back in. This is extremely inconvenient as I have 2 external displays attached to multiple open windows and when I unplug the hub all the windows go back to the laptop screen and I have to manually rearrange them back onto other screens when it's plugged back in. .If you mainly need the hub as a portable hub to connect different devices, this might be the perfect solution. But if you plan to use it as a docking station like I did, be wary of the power button issue when you connect your laptop over it. I'm not sure if I'm having bad luck with the ethernet port or if it's a common problem, but I've been using it for a few days now and the same problem occurs every day. I would return it if not shipping internationally as not worth the hassle and cost. I wish it had taken me too long to find a hub with all the features I wanted (and gigabit ethernet was one of the highlights) only to fall back to WiFi. Update: Today the ethernet port stopped working. , the power off fix I tried before no longer works. I contacted the seller hoping they would send me a replacement or refund my money as it no longer works as a hub without an ethernet port. Update 2: The seller was very responsive and first tried to fix the driver issue but it didn't work. I was offered a replacement but the seller was unable to fulfill it due to international shipping restrictions. Instead I received a full refund. I may have had bad luck with the ethernet port; Due to the inability to source replacements (not seller's fault) it's difficult for me to confirm if this is a design issue or just a one-off defect. In fairness, given the gradual degradation of the Ethernet port, this might seem like a one-time hardware failure. If it was a design issue, I would expect it to consistently exhibit the same erratic behavior rather than deteriorate to the point of complete failure.
