We have two cats and recently added a husky to our family! We love our new dog, cats? Not as much. As they learn to love their new brother, we didn't want to lock the cats in our master bedroom all the time. This gate gave us the opportunity to divide the house in half. The cats have one half, the new dog has the other half. It was easy to set up and assemble, I did it myself. We're lucky that our new furry friend isn't aggressive and doesn't try to jump on our gates. It seems pretty solid but I'm afraid he might fall off if he puts all his strength and weight on it. There are little cups so you can screw it to the wall so not only does it keep the tension going but after weeks of painting our house I couldn't bring myself to drill a hole in the wall just for the sake of that keep gate up lol. Definitely serves its intended purpose. It's too big for our dog to jump over and wide enough to fit in our 42 inch hallway. I wish they were just a little stronger on the tie rods but I am very happy with the gate! Looks amazing too! Much better than the regular white plastic gates you see. Doesn't irritate the eyes at all!
