It's nice to look at when it's not. Unfortunately, when it's on and the lights go out, you can see how ugly this monitor can be. I play in a man cave and the first thing that struck me when I first started using this monitor was that the left side was about 1/4 inch lower than the right side. I checked this with a level and braced the right side with the game boxes until it was level. The second thing I noticed was that there was a screen crease and backlight flare on the lower right side of the monitor. At this point , I was very disappointed with my purchase. After 12 hours of gaming at 120Hz, oh my god, I decided I just couldn't get over some major flaws, so I boxed it up and sent it back. 120Hz ensure a very pleasant and smooth gaming experience. However, the price-performance ratio is simply not there. If this monitor was $250-$350 I could forgive some of the shortcomings, but at $700 it's just not worth it. This time I got it right, but the backlight was a lot worse, this time I didn't just have it on the bottom. oh right corner. I have it on the left too. This is completely unacceptable for a monitor in this price range. It's better to snag the Dell U2711 on sale for $775-$850 than spend $699 on this monitor. I'm concerned about the 120Hz tech but wouldn't forgive the build quality of the two I've tried. I have changed my original rating from 2 stars to 1.
