My Wi-Fi only iPad mini now has GPS! Google Maps. Let us!

Works much better than I expected. I have an old wifi only ipad mini (1st gen) with ios 9.3.5 that i wanted to use for navigation but as you all know wifi only ipads don't have built in gps. After connecting my iPad mini to the Dual XGPS105A via Bluetooth (which was painless, by the way), it prompted me to download a companion app. The app is very helpful. It shows you how many satellites you are connected to, satellite numbers, signal strength, position information, position reliability values and battery status. I turned it on at home because I couldn't wait, but to my surprise, I was able to connect to 10+ satellites with ease. Like many other GPS devices, I felt I had to go outside. With the GPS locked and loaded, I started testing Google Maps and Waze. Both worked perfectly. Even my NOAA weather radar map supports positioning now. Great. I've ridden it on the road a few times, only about 100 miles with no issues, but I'll update this review once I have a longer belt ride. I really didn't expect Google Maps to work because I didn't see it mentioned as a supported app in any of the forums or reviews. This thing is gold. I can't wait to try it on other devices like the new iPad, windows tablet, android device and some survey devices. I'll report back, but so far so good.
