Review on Akebono ACT1539 Proact Ultra Premium Ceramic Disc Brake Pad Kit - Superior Performance in GREY by Carl Watkins

As you can see the two tabs on the Akebono being compared are too narrow including the seals which have a large gap in the slot on the caliper body. This causes the pad to suddenly move 1/2 inch as you back and forward and slam on the brakes with a thud. I consider it unsafe and have replaced them next week, the pads themselves are well done and apart from this issue they hold up the car well. They have been listed as compatible with the 2017 Subaru Impreza front brakes and should have plenty of play and not be trusted to damage other parts if they suddenly shift.
