I used this with a pair of Pioneer 6.5" coaxial speakers and the speaker grill was hiding the single mounting screw that holds this adapter. I had to cut out the part of the basket that covered the hole. The 4 pre-drilled screw holes for the speakers also had to be close to center to match the speakers I was using, but only a fraction, about 1/16 inch, just below the edge of the metal. Basket. In my opinion it would not fit a 6.75 inch speaker in any way.
