I used this with a pair of Pioneer 6.5" coaxial speakers and the speaker grill was hiding the single mounting screw that holds this adapter. I had to cut out the part of the basket that covered the hole. The 4 pre-drilled screw holes for the speakers also had to be close to center to match the speakers I was using, but only a fraction, about 1/16 inch, just below the edge of the metal. Basket. Does exactly what it is supposed to do. 2 brackets for 6.5" front door speakers that fit perfectly on my 2006 Honda Civic sedan. The cable adapters also perfectly match the OEM connectors. FYI, the white wire on the adapters is positive (+) as it should be. I double checked the factory speaker wire color codes just to be sure. I connected them to JBL GTO629 speakers. I had to cut some plastic out of my factory rear covers to fit my 2009 Honda Civic (photo).
