Review on High-performance National R-1561-TV Wheel Bearing: Unmatched Quality for Optimal Vehicle Performance by Jason Mulah

DO NOT DO THAT. Leaking and damaged. 2 different brands. None of the bearings were made by National Bearings.

I am very disappointed in these bearings. I just bought 2 national R1561-TV rear axle bearings for my F-150. The package arrived today and I opened the package to check the condition of the bearing housings and the bearings inside. Those who know bearings will never use what's in a box. The first one I took out looked fine from the outside. Opened it up to inspect the bearing and was shocked to see a battered hard plastic bearing wrapped in shrink wrap (apparently man made and not factory because they use thick, flexible plastic). Bearings are vital parts that should NEVER be contaminated in order for them to fail. I won't risk taking the diff apart, changing the axle seals and bearings along with expensive fluid only to do it again after finding out the bearing has been damaged by tampering, that's common sense for anyone who understands how a camp works and doesn't work. Also brand was Koyo camp. While I have nothing against Koyo bearings, I didn't order this. The second package comes out of the shipping box, it looks like she's been hit with a tire lever, like she owes money to the mafia. I took the bearing out of the box that fell apart in transit to find a bearing without plastic. I repeat, NO PLASTIC covers the bearing from dirt and dust, I check the bearing, it's low and see it doesn't grip and roll evenly in the reel body. I looked for the maker's mark on the ring, it's a bearing with the INA mark. I'm sorry but this is the worst and most fraudulent package I have ever received from Revain. This company/business should be banned from selling here. They took the broken, open and leaking bearings they pulled out of the garbage to auto parts stores, packaged them in national branded packaging and sold them at retail price. I spent over $40 each for absolute rubbish and a waste of time. Make a statement within 5 minutes of opening the box. I'd rather pay the extra money at the parts store down the street.
