Our driveway is 15 feet long and is visible through the back door. We don't need it for the driveway announcement. What is not well described in the description is the included and very useful ball head mount. We are concerned about sleeping in the warm weather at our vacation home near Chicago with the windows open on the first floor, even though the bottoms of the windows are 7 to 8 feet off the ground. By installing the sensor above the windows, under the ceiling and tilting it down in the ball joint mount, we can be alerted to anyone walking in the backyard or between our house and the neighbors next door. At the same time, the sensor is out of reach of those who want to disable or interfere with its operation. It's very understated, although a white body would suit us better than a brown one. Can be easily connected to the receiver and works perfectly. We have a separate horn for the side and back of the house so we know where the disturbance or movement is. We don't see much wildlife although skunks and rabbits have been known to roam by but there were no false alarms. Note that you'll want to mount it with a wide-angle touchscreen (elliptical, not circular) and mount it with the long axis of the ellipse VERTICAL to detect motion near the wall below the windows.
