I wanted light blue but ended up with black. Turn off the burner before removing the kettle from the burner. This can apply to all kettles but you will burn yourself from the steam so be careful with the steam from the spout. It's been working fine for me so far. I wanted another, more expensive one, and this was the color I wanted. Have fun shopping; You are a buyer!
