Review on Rutland Products 1111 Fireplace Insert Insulation Fiberglass, 1.5-Inch by 10-Feet, 1.5" x 10', Yellow by Dave Neal

I'm a fan of Rutland products but this isn't one of their best. Adhesion to the insulation is fine, but the insulation itself is layers of fiberglass and is literally falling apart. I attached it to the hearth of the wood stove, pushed it back into the chimney, and then took a 4 inch spatula and carefully tucked in the loose insulation. Rutland was able to solve this problem simply by using fiberglass cloth instead of multilayer insulation. I'll look around next time. And there WILL be a next time because this stuff is going to fall apart when I get out the stove next spring. If you find a better product please comment on this review and let me know what you found.
