Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ 75mm Filament 1 Printer Materials for High-quality Printings by Will Anderson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Misleading specs, but after experimenting I was able to print successfully.

I was looking for a cheap PETG filament and ordered it. It was well vacuum packed and looked very good. However, initially the prints were full of cracks, threads, and the thread sometimes got stuck in the titanium thermal break. I wanted to write a negative review. However, the operating temperature turned out to be a problem. I installed a PT100 sensor and calibrated the printer nozzle to an accuracy of +/-0.5ยฐC, as the Ender3's original thermistor-based measurements are off by (lower) 10-15ยฐC. The recommended printing temperature on the spool was given as 230.26 ยฐC. In fact, at these temperatures, the material flows out of the nozzle and softens in the throat. I tried typing at 210C and a speed of 30-35mm/s, a pullback of 3.5mm and a bed of 75C and that fixed the problem. There were still some (very small) strings left when I tried to print the bridges, so I'm giving it 4 stars. But it's no worse than PETG+, which I tried from another manufacturer. PETG is still a bit more difficult to process than PLA, but the hardness and accuracy are better.
