I'm new to rechargeable batteries maybe because many years ago they weren't worth returning, although after a lot of research everything pointed out to me these are the latest versions and Panasonic from Japan although I Bought a set early last year and didn't use them I just kept them then bought this set. The ones I kept and never used in anything don't come fully charged says it's pre charged which isn't entirely true as soon as I got this new pack I wanted to check how charged they were and they were only about half charged so I don't know if they sit and drain? But I got this new set to 100% charge the latest in the pack. I will use them in wildlife cameras which is a low power application. If you need powerful eneloops like camera or remote control car, you need other eneloops. I think they are still black in color but be careful they explode, they are energy and don't leak, they just drop dead when they go out.
