Not only are these items unnecessary compared to the old ones, the added safety features make them even more dangerous. I'm still trying to figure out what was wrong with the old design. I've been using the old ones for over 10 years and never thought they would be improved or needed an extra security feature. They are still on my old saw and I will be replacing them with these. I made this decision after somehow pinching my pinky finger with a fuse yesterday. He ripped a piece of flesh right off my finger and the bleeding still hasn't stopped. I don't even know how it happened. If anyone knows what the problem is with the old ones please let me know as I really have no idea why they changed what seemed like a perfectly made and functional product.
