I was skeptical about ordering this as it is not the same as my old Panasonic remote which has slowly met its death over the course of a year. But I took it out of the box, put in batteries (there weren't any), pointed it at an old and not very smart TV, and it worked great. I now expect many more years of service from this not-so-smart, not-so-big TV. (People used to argue on here about "My big screen TV is smaller than your big screen TV" but I've noticed they don't anymore. Now 43" is considered tiny and 37" is no longer sold.)
