Review on Laundry Dryer Balls Alternative Softener by Kara Davis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My 2 cents for 2 decades of religious use

I've been a fan of dryer balls for 2 decades and after trying many dryer balls, here are my take on what makes good dryer balls:- The brand doesn't matter . - Thick, Heavy, Hard Plastic: A lot of people complain about the noise of hard balls, and that's true, but remember, harder = better. Harder balls give better physical strength by hitting clothes, which makes for softer clothes AND lasts much longer than soft balls. In the past, the heaviest first set I had had lasted almost 10 years before breaking. Subsequent softer ones broke after 1-2 years. These are the only ones I found comparable to my first set in terms of durability and toughness - NO punctures: they are inefficient and break easily - Plastic over wool: plastic may not feel very natural or eco-friendly. However, remember that a good set of hard plastic balls will last for many years. Wool also lasts forever, but it doesn't effectively soften clothes and can cause allergies in people who are allergic to animal fur/fur. 1 Advantage of Yarn Balls: You can add essential oil to refresh the balls. However, I do not notice any transference or odor on my clothes. Last but not least, after washing any winter jacket (including goose down), plastic balls alone can generate enough force to dry and loosen the down! If you want an even better result, add extra dense and heavy tennis balls. The same applies here: heavier and heavier = better.
