I first heard about this skirt from YouTube guys like GeoFatboy and Lynn Abrams. They were not joking when they offered to include this stone in their composition; it polishes and shaves every straight razor perfectly. Regardless of whether you also use a chrome oxide line or not, you should definitely save with the Naniwa 12k. You will not regret it! (Update): I've been using my Nani 12k for a few months now. But I've only recently found that my best edges are on about 20 circles and then just on the skin. I found out that German razor manufacturer Ralf Aust does this for his straight hair and decided to try it myself. The razors were very sharp but swept over my stubble fairly easily. I once thought about Suehiro Gokumyo 20k or Shapton 30k. But I'm more than happy with my 12k now that I've found what works best for my face!
