For the last 40 years or so I have occasionally used snow chains on my vehicles. It is very nice! They're not super bulky or virtually indestructible like they were in the good old days. BUT for the few occasions when they are needed, they are more than functional! They are compact and very easy to store; even with a practical bag. They are very easy to install; most likely these are not the best conditions outside when needed! I like cable over heavy chain for light to medium loads. I suspect they won't last as long as the chain versions. Not for daily/permanent use! However, after almost freezing to death with heavy chains, I would change the ease of use any day now. I would seriously suggest getting a spanner as well, Glacier has an inexpensive set for around $8. But I prefer multi-handed versions. - about 12-20 US dollars. Also available in a set of 2 (two). It's worth it! Experience has shown that you should take the time to order the right size for your vehicle! Also, practice setting up when the weather is nice! Hooray!
