I didn't think it was that important so to save a few bucks I bought some really cheap tires recently and the front tire blew on my first ride. After that, I chose the tire with the best ratings. I bought this and installed a spike resistant hose. I know there are lighter options, but I'm a 49-year-old amateur rider who weighs 240 pounds, so I'd rather have the tires that won't let me down than an ultra-light bike. After a few more rides, during which I was very happy with the front tire I changed, my cheap rear tire failed. I decided to repeat my purchase with this tire and a spike resistant rear tube. I've done 4 bike rides so far and I'm very happy with this tire. I hope/suspect that the kevlar actually helps the tire hold up. My tires are inflated to 90 pounds as recommended. I ride about 12 miles a day, sometimes in 100 degree weather. The tires work well and you have my recommendation.
