Description of ๐Ÿ”ฅ Ultimate Durability and Performance: Bell 27-Inch KEVLAR Road Bike Tire

KEVLAR layer provides more strength and extra puncture resistance. Carbon steel bead allows tire to be folded without damage for easy storage. Inverted tread provides sure grip but less rolling resistance for easier pedaling on pavement. Wheel size: 27" x 1.25".

These baddies probably have over 200 miles and still no home

I'm driving in Detroit and there's broken glass everywhere. These bad guys probably have over 200 miles and still no home. Cheaper than Gatorskins and works just as well. It hurts a bit to sit on the discs, but they work fine after that. Do not use tools to tighten them, you may puncture the inner tube.

  • Handsfree

puncture protection. in cycling

I've been using Bell Kevlar tires on my 26 inch mountain bike wheels for years because I've had regular flat tires which people in my area say are on plane trees with round, hard seeds are due with spikes that pierce bicycle tires. These 27" road bike tires are also impressive. Never take an apartment with them.

Gentle use on older bikes

To anyone using this on a vintage bike, consider spending the extra money on a more reliable tire. Although the quality of the tire seems pretty good for the price, it is designed for clincher rims. Comfortable clincher tires work on straight walls, but this tire is prone to the bead detaching from the rim and bursting. After going around the block, the bead broke off completely in a four inch section.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Great tires for $10.49, will buy again.

Installed on a 1974 Schwinn with 27x1 1/4 tires. The initial rating is five stars and then a few more stars for the price of $10.49. From the start I felt these tires were thicker than my Gatorskin Continental hard shells or any of my other Continental tires that I run. I tried it to save money and I'm glad I did. They went through easily, with no struggle, and as far as I can tell they're well done. I tried to drive but the roads were icy and didn't work very well when I hit the brakes.

Smooth running, difficult to assemble, small size.

I have two Bell tires. One was mounted on a hooked rim - it was a bit tight but went in with no problems. One was mounted on a straight sided rim - it was a real challenge to get it right. There were always ups and downs (not in circles and at the risk of being blown off the rim). It took half a dozen attempts to inflate, deflate, struggle and reinflate to get it in place. Once it works, it's a good tire to ride - and not flat yet. it's smaller: labeled 1 1/4" but actually 1 1/8".

Cheap bike tire with some features

This tire comes folded in a box. This is not a folding tire, so the tires will deform. I put them in the sun and the bead straightened out, but the beads stayed scattered from each other. This made installation difficult. The tire contains Kevlar in the tread carcass. After assembly, the bead lay normally on the rim. This tire is rated for a maximum pressure of 90psi. I drove with that pressure and the tire felt dead, didn't accelerate well and didn't seem to hold speed well. Cornering grip was

Reliable tires at a reasonable price.

Excellent tires for the money. I drove it about 1000 km and had no problems. I have not owned ballet flats before and they seem to be wearing off badly for my driving habits. If you want to make your bike as light as possible, you've come to the wrong place. If like me you are more of a utilitarian type looking for a practical tire at a reasonable price. One that's puncture-proof and strong enough that you're less likely to get into trouble if your bike hits gravel or goes off the road a bitโ€ฆ

Reliable and affordable. I feel safe with these tires.

I didn't think it was that important so to save a few bucks I bought some really cheap tires recently and the front tire blew on my first ride. After that, I chose the tire with the best ratings. I bought this and installed a spike resistant hose. I know there are lighter options, but I'm a 49-year-old amateur rider who weighs 240 pounds, so I'd rather have the tires that won't let me down than an ultra-light bike. After a few more rides, during which I was very happy with the front tire Iโ€ฆ
