I make my living as a professional auto technician so my tools get more abused and used than the average person. I'm a junior auto technician and have been in the business for about 8-9 years so I don't have much experience hand filling bearings as we don't routinely do it anymore (bearings are sealed in new cars). Due to my lack of experience, using this stock packing tool saves me LOTS of TIME compared to packing by hand. If I had known how this tool worked and how much it would help, I would have had it in my toolbox years ago. Now that I've used it, even if I only have to do a brake job or two that requires a wheel bearing pack, this tool is cheap enough that I would still buy it to avoid a headache and save money. Time. I love the fact that it's self-contained and has a lid so I can store it in my tool chest when not in use without worrying about lube getting on my other tools. Great tool, worth the money.
