Description of ๐Ÿ”ง Lisle 34550 Handy Packer Bearing: Simplify Your Bearing Maintenance!

Quickly Flushes Out Old Grease and Repacks Bearings with Less Mess. The Handy Packer works on bearings up to 3 1/2" O.D. The grease stays in the tool cavity, not on your hands. To pack a bearing, place the bearing on the piston. Press down on the cap until the old grease is forced out and the new grease shows on top of the bearing.

EASY, FAST and FULLY PACKAGED!

I know the "old fashioned" way of packaging camp. But this thing is only 10 times easier and 1000 times faster. It's perfect, COMPLETELY packs your bearings in just a few seconds. When you're done, close the lid and that's it. If you are a pro I highly recommend this. I only repair my vehicles/equipment but I'm VERY glad I bought this. You can see when I used it today it squeezed out the old grease and completely filled the bearing!

You have to work hard to get the job done.

Works well. Used to repack my trailer bearings and it worked, but pumping grease into the bearing was harder than I expected. You have to put a lot of pressure and weight on this thing to make the fat rise. I thought it would work easier but in the end it did the job. I used it after wiping most of the grease off the bearings, squeezing in new grease and squeezing out the old, then wiping off the old grease. until it was just another coming. The listing says you can do this, but theโ€ฆ

I would love to repack every wheel bearing!

I used to pack wheel bearings in my tandem axle camping trailer. I actually enjoy repacking bearings (you can mash the fat in your hand and get really greasy). But the sealer was actually fun to use even though it was a lot cleaner and I only had a bit of lube left on my fingertips. Like many reviewers, I wish I had bought one a year ago (I've been servicing my cars for 46 years). I'm glad I grew up repacking the old-fashioned way. It makes me appreciate this tool. Sleek Bearing Seal Tool

A nifty tool that works just as well as hand-wrapped. Either way, you'll still get fat, but not as fat. I used Valvoline VV614 multi-purpose grease (for GM, Chrysler, European and Japanese vehicles) in a 16oz/1lb tube. Just put it on the ground, the lubrication is too slow. It seemed that the old fat was squeezed out and the fresh poured in. Easy to store and easy to use. Don't be afraid to step on it. I haven't tried using a vise, but others have suggested them for harder/thicker/dirtierโ€ฆ

Worth the money for the time saved

I make my living as a professional auto technician so my tools get more abused and used than the average person. I'm a junior auto technician and have been in the business for about 8-9 years so I don't have much experience hand filling bearings as we don't routinely do it anymore (bearings are sealed in new cars). Due to my lack of experience, using this stock packing tool saves me LOTS of TIME compared to packing by hand. If I had known how this tool worked and how much it would help, I would

well made, decent quality

I would buy again. It is a robust device that accepts a wide range of stock widths and thicknesses. I recommend a thorough pre-cleaning of the bearing with petroleum or similar as a final rinse and subsequent drying. This removes the contaminated grease that goes into the clean new grease in the base/roller shell. Pressing new grease into the bearing was easy but a bit slow (and in summer temperatures), but putting a 25# bag of #6 lead shot on top for extra strength helped - I saw a hint ofโ€ฆ
