Sturdy but a little big and heavy. The pistol grip is good, but it requires quite a bit of grip strength to operate, making fine-tuning difficult. Using the grip extender with my macro rail is fine, but not as reliable as I would like. Definitely not a tripod to carry around in a backpack as it doesn't fold compact enough, but if you're looking for a sturdy straight tripod on a budget this will suit your needs quite well. Settings and adjustments are quick, simple and easy.
