This video is the proof you need.

The thing is loud and should suit my teenager. however, he still sleeps through the night. I honestly don't know how. It's insanely loud and disgusting. I think for 99% of those who have heavy sleepers this should work, but not for us. Still a good product and I would recommend it. Crazy I know but I have a feeling this product will work for most others. It is more beautiful! πŸ˜‚**UPDATE: He sets this alarm clock and wakes up every day. It still shocks me that every morning the alarm goes off for about 2-3 full minutes, then turns it off, then wakes up to the backup alarm going off 10 minutes later. Needless to say, it's noisy here in the mornings, VERY noisy. We had to start breaking down his door for our POOR dog who is sleeping in his room. Those first few days, when we forgot to let her go before the alarm went off, undoubtedly did irreparable damage to her already unstable tendencies. BUT. NO more morning fights, arguments, and threats of harm (from my side) or punishment for problems waking up in the morning! *** So the moral of this parenting story. Sonic boom alarm changed our miserable morning! My mornings are now like a dream - minus the awkward sound of a sonic boom. Now I can get up, have coffee, put my feet up and know that after the second ring of the alarm he will get up and move. My morning sanity is now restored. Of course the last few years have taken something away from me that has made me question every life decision I've ever made, now I'm back to 70-85% mental parenting ability. While that's not a standard I'd normally be proud of, I agree!
