Review on 🔌 C2G 40433 TAA Compliant Dual Infrared (IR) Emitter Cable, Black - 10ft (3.04m) by Karen Smith

This product works GREAT and is very good value compared to others. I recommend using this product with wireless repeaters for reliability and a clean install. PROS: Very neat setup and very accurate repeater for a complete system with a 52" Sony LCD. Many cables and expandable. Feels like a well built product with clear labeling on the packaging for easy installation. I added a standard 12ft 3.5mm M/F stereo extension cable to extend the included 10ft IR receiver cable. This allowed me to place the IR receiver on top of a TV (Sony wall mount) and place the box in an equipment closet 12 feet away. It worked perfectly. You must advertise this opportunity on the Cables to Go website. CONS: Dual band on IR transmitters felt weak. I don't think they will fall off over time, but they actually can. The plug of the IR transmitter is very easy to remove from the packaging. I think they are using the wrong plug and socket combination in the design; They work but come out VERY easily when they need to snap in like the IR receiver and power plug do. The power cord is the same plug as all other connectors. It's easy to confuse it with the port next to the "Status" inscription. The device will not work if the "Status" port has power, but if connected incorrectly, it will not fry the device. (Well, don't ask me how I learned that.) Great product. Highly recommended. 9 out of 10 for IR Emitters not properly attached.
