Review on πŸšͺ Vancillary DIY Door Stop Kit (Intermediate): Perfect Upfitting Components for DIY Van Conversions (Sprinter, Transit, ProMaster) by Jarrett Young

Soft, very soft

Let's start with the highlights first. I installed this doorstop kit on my 2020 Ford van and it does exactly what it was advertised to do. This gives you an intermediate stopping point when opening the door, which I have tried unsuccessfully with elastic cords. It comes with the most complete, illustrated, and detailed instructions I've seen, and installation was a breeze. Everything you need to install is included. Now for the tradeoffs you need to be aware of. This puppy is expensive, there is no way around it. In my case it was worth it, your mileage may vary. Before you can use the door it takes a day to heal, and by day I mean 24 hours. Finally, you should avoid opening the door all the way. My rather harsh style resulted in the door slamming into the layover, the door rattling and rattling. This inevitably has a detrimental effect on the entire door assembly over time. The key to success is to open the door carefully. It will settle quietly at first at a stop, and with a little extra effort it will progress to a full stop, avoiding wear and tear on your door. I live in my trailer. When I open a door, 95% of the time I don't want it to open all the way. If for some reason you feel the same way, I have no hesitation in recommending this product.
