This thermometer works exactly as expected - plug it in and it turns on. The display is easy to read, especially indoors or in the shade, but may not be bright enough to read in direct sunlight. The long probe cable allows you to install the meter away from the temperature source, which is certainly convenient. It operates over the entire specified voltage range, making it versatile for a variety of applications. The only thing I noticed was that there seemed to be some self-heating at the higher end of the voltage range, resulting in an offset of a few degrees. For this reason I would recommend using a voltage on the lower end of the range if possible. Overall a reliable instrument, especially when accurate temperature readings are not required.
