I replaced the negative and positive posts on a brand new battery so that I could hook up a LED light bar harness to my 2001 Tahoe without cutting any wires to tap into power. If you are going to add a light bar or other 12 volt appliance to your vehicle I recommend that you check your battery posts to make sure they are long enough to attach a ring connector from the harness wiring. It only took a few minutes to remove the factory posts and replace them with these posts and this made hooking the ring connectors to the posts a breeze. I even have a little extra length to attach other 12 volt appliances if I ever want to.
