I don't know how this thing got so many 5 star reviews. It's useless on a stainless steel grill. Stainless steel scrubbers do the job better. Of course, you can't use scrubbers when the grill is hot, but these won't remove even tiny bits of meat stuck to the grate. If you're looking for something to clean your grate when it's not hot, use stainless steel scrubbing brushes. If you want to clean something when the grate is hot, look for something cheaper. The day I bought it, the price was artificially inflated to $16.99 + tax. I wouldn't even pay $6.99 for that junk.
