I know optical media will soon be gone, but it's more convenient to use Blu-ray discs to archive large video projects that won't clutter up your hard drives/SSDs. I do TONS of video editing, but most uncompressed projects can be around 50GB and I want to be able to back up those projects in case I need them again. I had a Samsung BluRay Writer and it lasted two years before it gave up the ghost. I trust Verbatim with my BluRay discs, so I trust them and their drive. In terms of drive aspects, I like it so far:
