Review on πŸš— Pentagon Under Vehicle Car Dollies with Heavy Duty Roller Wheel Casters - Set of 4, Black by Scott Welch

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Durable Cons: Needs oiling

I bought these a few weeks ago to store my 1964 Lincoln Continental in the garage. Now remember that this is a very heavy car with a curb weight of 5055-5393 pounds. This is below the manufacturer's specification for these skates at 6,000 pounds. The tires are 9.15x15 but I had a puncture and replaced them with the tire you see in my photos as the size is hard to find. I placed them so that the screws were as far away from the tires as possible. Finally, I used C-clamps to mimic the brakes, but I don't think there's a strategic place for them to work when there's an incline. I'm a big guy, about 6ft 2 inches and 225 pounds, and I could propel the car in all directions on my own, but I had to use a "quick jerk" to get the rollers to change direction . I agree with others that the rollers need greasing, they seem like they should turn themselves with a little help if you turn them upside down and spin them by hand. Assembly took longer than I expected, and was Otherwise be careful with shims They won't set properly and will stretch. When this happens I had to use a hammer on two of them to convert them into a circle. Total for the price and spend 4x more to last 5000+ cars , happy.Pros: Quality construction , weight, durable Cons: Needs lubrication, I used HD white lithium grease for convenience, no brakes, casters are fine
