I wanted to write an accurate review so that future buyers have a clear idea of the product. In our scenario we traveled through CA, OR and WA. However, when unpacking the item, one of the two zippers broke, we didn't have time to return and replace the item, so we made it work with a zipper. disappointing but still usable. As we drove north we seemed to experience increased rain and snow and our stuff in the bag mostly stayed dry, but the luggage closest to the car was wet - luckily for us it was a hard case and undamaged. I understand the price is relatively cheap compared to many roof bags, we needed this product for a one-way trip and it worked well for our needs. If you are looking for a strong, durable roof bag or live in inclement weather I would not recommend this product. Unfortunately, it seems to be more of a disposable product. I will say the non slip mat, buckles and clips worked great and the bag was very secure. We were able to fit two large hard cases, two hard cases, and various softer and smaller items in between, leaving room.
