Review on 🌱 Revolutionary ANYCUBIC Plant-Based Photopolymer Printing Additive Manufacturing Products: Taking 3D Printing to the Next Level by Enrique Espinoza

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The finished product is good, but cleaning may not be worth it.

I recently switched to Eco UV Resin because I wanted to be a good citizen of the planet and I thought switching to a water soluble, plant based product was the right decision. make. I'm on my third kilo container of this product and I'm starting to have my doubts, but maybe I should step back. In March I installed my Elegoo Mars 2P Resin 3D printer and used at least 10kg of standard resin in at least four colors, so I'm no longer a typical noob. I also bought an Elegoo Mercury Plus washer at the time and typically wash 20-40 prints per gallon with 97% alcohol. Sure, the alcohol will discolor after a few washes, but I don't alter colors much, and after washing, the prints are always clean, smooth, and free of resin residue. In fact, the fast resin stays suspended in the alcohol between print jobs, sometimes for a week or more without settling. Some advise drying the suspended resin in a wash tank, leaving it in the sun for a while, and then filtering it. I've recently started using translucent clear plant based ECO resin and the experience has changed a lot. When I'm done printing with translucent clear ECO resin, I place the build plate with all the printed parts in a tub of soapy water and run a rinse. Train station within twenty minutes. With a standard rapid resin, six minutes is usually sufficient. The build plate is then removed, parts separated from it, and then cleaned to remove any trapped resin missed by the wash station. Next, the supports break off. Another scrub, light sanding and another rinse, then start curing. Seriously I probably use several gallons of water per print and wash my hands thoroughly several times throughout the process, no I don't wear gloves and this has never been a problem for me as I am very careful. After I'm done I need to wash and clean the wash tank and build plate. It is much more labor intensive than alcohol soluble Fast Resin. If I don't get great ratings in this review, I'll likely return to Quick Resin after this new container runs out, maybe sooner when Christmas presents force me to use other colors.
