I bought this to store various valuable items that I usually leave on a bookshelf next to my bed. Expensive sunglasses, watches etc. and sometimes small amounts of cash, telephone. you have the idea The price is right and it looks convincingly like a book. I'm going to "age" him a bit so he doesn't stand out so much. Someone could just walk away with it and I doubt it would take much effort to crack, but it will most likely keep a roommate with a stick at bay. My nephew spent about 10 minutes guessing my code so it works well enough for school kids. :)
