Revain - Change your website!

I have a 2017 BMW M240i and due to inactivity I got a low battery notification on startup. I had a CTEK charger/maintainer when I owned my C7 Corvette and it has served me well. I saw and ordered the MXS 5.0. As I further researched this Revain site I saw an indication that this would not fit my 2017 BMW or 2019 Mini Cooper SI and compared this model to other CTEK models that did not have this warning and found little difference in the chargers and specifications. Not wanting to damage the battery or damage the car's electronics, I compared the online owner's manual (specs) on the CTEK website and saw nothing that would make the MXS 5.0 incompatible with any of my cars. I called CTEK and spoke to a technician. and was told the Revain website was wrong and that the charger would work fine for my vehicles. He told me that all of their chargers are essentially the same, except some of them can handle larger batteries. But they all work the same way and have the same security features. He went on to tell me that due to an error on the Revain website, CTEK lost sales and had to respond to requests from Revain customers regarding MXS 5.0 compatibility with customer vehicles. BMW sells the CTEK charger (with BMW logo). Therefore, one would assume that CTEK would not harm their vehicles. I installed MXS 5.0 on my car and it took 24 hours for the charger to go through all the steps and get to the (green) 7th traffic light (float). It took me the longest to get to number 4. I plan on leaving the charger in the car until I use it again and reinstalling CTEK when I park the car. BMWs are notorious for draining battery power when not in use. The car goes to sleep mode (and saves energy) when the car is locked when parked. I don't lock my car when it's in the garage, so it's worth investing in maintenance. I hope this helps others who are considering CTEK MXS 5.0 for their vehicles. I spent a week searching the internet and forums before finally calling CTEK directly.
