This camera cover cracked the screen on my new 16" Macbook Pro tonight. I'm so angry. Apparently Apple has been warning about this since July 2020 but I would have had this cover on my 15- "Macbook Pro are meant to use, but newer 16" models are much more vulnerable. I've been wearing this cap for about 3 weeks and tonight I closed the cap very gently while sitting on my desk. I didn't pick it up , not worn next to the camera and not pressed directly on that part of the case. But when I opened it up again my screen was black. Thought it was just a minor issue and then saw a thin crack, which ran right down the middle of the screen and came right out of the camera cover. Did a google search and it seems this has happened to MANY other people with newer 16 inch Macbooks as the gap is smaller than previous models. Please do NOT use this or any other low profile camera cover on your new Macbooks. The only surefire way to cover them is to use a tag, washi tape, oversight, or something else as thin as a piece of paper. There should be a WARNING in the seller's description - they should stop promoting them for Mac. The fix is incredibly expensive at $1,000, so that's a tough lesson if you don't have Apple Care.
