I'm not sure combs do a good job - they help. But they're a welcome help, do a decent job, and with a little iteration and reuse seem to have done what was needed. I can use an old hairbrush as an add on, but at this price point it's a thoughtful addition and I enjoy using it. My main brush was just as hard as the original but almost as good half the time.
