Tunisian knitting is so new to me that I really didn't know what tools I needed or might need for different projects. I've seen the same hooks offered on different yarn sides and I knew they had something to offer. After learning how handy the Tunisian crochet kit is, I decided to just get it. After all, Hubz doesn't know I need it. =) In the meantime I've been working with long bamboo hooks that I bought to try Tunisian crochet. My kit arrived and I immediately started using it on my current project. Doesn't matter! They move through the yarn like BUTTER. So smooth and easy and my stitches are more even! I liked it so much I got my dad a huge present for Christmas. Everyone loved the look of this blanket. Tunisian special. I love that the hook and neck are built in like Susan Bates hooks instead of protruding like Boye hooks and I have all the sizes I need. I've learned that with Tunisian you have to make a pattern to get it right and that you need at least 3 or more sizes larger than traditional crochet and you don't know what size until you make a pattern. After I have them all I don't stop waiting for another hook to be delivered. I liked them so much that I put this set on my wish list. Maybe Hubz will come by for my birthday soon. =) If you snort and mumble, you just get it. You will not regret it.
