Review on Zoo Med AvianSun 🐦 Deluxe Floor Lamp with Bulb Exclusion by Bill Pulakanam

I tried a few things without a prescription and then took my Scarlet Macaw Merlin to my avian vet. We looked at all the options and looked at Lupron but he said let's try these other things first. He gave me an anti-itch spray, an antifungal and an antibiotic to mix with water. He also recommended more fresh fruits and vegetables and talked about the lighting. I've tried other things without noticing much improvement in two weeks. I ordered a floor lamp and a recommended lightbulb and started using them. He recovered immediately. I noticed an improvement in appetite and strength, and after a few days, feathers started crawling out all over the place. At first he was afraid of the light (he has a huge metal cage built like an indoor or outdoor aviary, like in commercial hotels), he has moved away from it. Now he moves towards it several times a day. He's much more vocal and playful again. I am very pleased with the ease of assembly and it was up and running in about 5 minutes. My parrot is almost back to full plumage of beautiful scarlet. I like the flexibility of the neck so I can channel him properly because as I said he has a huge cage and I didn't want to point it at his eyes but rather get as much coverage as possible without him grabbing it.
