These wheels have been familiar to me for a very long time. The controller makes complete advantage of USB 3.0, and the maximum transfer speed of USB 3.0 is only constrained by the speed of the disk itself. In more recent variants with capacities of 500 TB to 1 TB, the USB-SATA III controller is manufactured independently from the disk, and users are free to use any disk they like. This option was frequently used as a device for connecting external drives through USB, and it was quite convenient. Has some pros: WD Blue hard drive with 5400 rpm, 128 MB, and SATA III at 6 Gb/s The actual read/write speed of the disk ranges from approximately 125 MB/s at the beginning of the disk to approximately 60 MB/s at the very end of the disk. A good enclosure made of rubber. The ride is not too noisy overall. There is no need for any additional USB power because USB 3.0 supplies sufficient regular. Has drawbacks, such as: - it is still WD BLUE (and not RED, for example); - the controller (adapter) from USB to SATA III is positioned directly on the disk; consequently, replacing the native disk with another standard one 2.5" drive or SSD will not function.
