Review on ๐Ÿ”ง ACDelco GM OE 15-72971 Temperature Mode Valve Actuator Assembly by Tim Airy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cold is cold, hot is hot again.

I'm tired of recalibrating my 2003 Escalade's air conditioning every week. Bought this drive just in time. My old one finally stopped working the day I ordered a new one. Always hot on the driver's side. Installing the new drive took about 20 minutes. - Start the engine and make sure the A/C control is set to "Auto" and "Auto" is displayed. Stop the engine.- Open the driver's side fuse box in the engine compartment and remove the 10A fuse marked "HVAC/ECASโ€.- Remove the passenger compartment fender. There are 3 7mm screws for removing the kick plate. One of the footplate screws is a real bear. There are several videos to watch. Not impossible, but definitely a giant hemorrhoid. - Remove the old actuator. It is held in place by 2 5.5mm screws. Once they are removed, unplug the old one and plug in the new one. Install the new drive and backup it. Check your work, reset the 10Amp HVAC fuse in the engine bay. Let the engine run for 2 minutes. without touching any controls. - Stop the engine for at least 10 seconds but no longer than 30 seconds. - Restart the engine and you're done. - Now reinstall the running board and enjoy the cold air again.
