🔧 ACDelco GM OE 15-72971 Temperature Mode Valve Actuator Assembly Review

The picture shows the part arriving in a Manila envelope. No box or anything, just one piece in the box. I installed it and my heater is working fine, but I have no idea if this is a genuine Delco AC part, am I right? I only rated it 3 stars because it arrived without a box/packaging. Like I said, this part really works.

Not installed yet but no way of knowing if this is an AC Delco product. Came in bubble wrap - no box. Replacement parts are available for a similar price and there is no way of knowing if it is just a Dorman part etc. It will probably work fine, but I prefer to know that I'm putting Delco parts in my Roadmaster Wagon.

I bought this through Revain Warehouse Deals as the cost of buying a new unit was too high so I didn't have the AC long enough ran it to see if it worked properly. This was purchased to solve an issue with our 2007 Tahoe blowing warm air on the driver's side and cold air on the passenger's side. UPDATE: Still working fine after about two weeks. Both driver and passenger blow cold air.

I previously purchased the same product in April 2020 and it broke after 12 months. I decided to try again hoping the quality would be better. This photo accompanying this review clearly shows that the product is not manufactured by AC Delco in Michigan. This is the exact same one I took out of a car that had sat for 12 months. It is clearly stamped on the mixed door operator, it is made in Korea. I connected this new one and it broke within 10 minutes. Please avoid this product and save money.

While my husband is a mechanic I watched some YouTube videos on replacing this part and decided I could actually do it myself. I recorded the instructions from the video and was able to replace the part myself. The only tricky part I could spot when replacing it was making sure you set the air temp with a small toothed mirror to see how the little dial would line up at 12:00 before taking the old one off and that insert new ones. I bought this for my 2004 Suburban when the air conditioning started blowing bursts of warm air to the driver's side instead of the passenger side. We had to stop the car, turn it off and on again to fix the problem and get a whiff of cold air out of the vent again.
